POTENTIAL ALTITUDE PROBLEMS
The Van Eden Ranch sits at almost 8000 feet in elevation. If you are not acclimated to higher
altitudes and are coming from a lower altitude, this could become an issue for you. Symptoms
of altitude sickness include but are not limited to loss of breath, dizziness, light-heartedness,
and nausea. To help prevent altitude sickness WE RECOMMEND DRINKING A LOT OF WATER.
WEATHER
Because of the elevation of the Van Eden Ranch, almost 8000 feet, the weather and temperature
can vary from hour to hour. During the months of July and August the average temperature is
between 70 – 80 degrees during the day and 40 – 50 degrees at night. Because of the colder
temperatures at night we recommend bringing a long pair of pants and at least one jacket.
Because of the potential of rain we recommend bringing rain gear.
